Don't think you can turn your husband into a whole wheat eater? If it worked on my husband, it will definitely work on yours. My kids love these, too!
1 cup fresh ground whole wheat flour (I've never tried storebought flour so the promise above doesn't apply)
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 T. sugar
1 egg
1 cup buttermilk (I've also used regular milk, canned milk or water. It changes the taste slightly but is still yummy)
1 T. oil
Fry 'em up on the griddle. If you have frozen blueberries or huckleberries, sprinkle some in while cooking for an added treat!
